5 Treated After Fire Rips Through Brownsville Apartment Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A raging fire broke out overnight at a building in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

It happened on Blake Avenue just after 11 p.m. Friday.

The FDNY said the fire started in an apartment on the third floor of the 14-story building.

Five people were treated at the scene by paramedics, but refused to be taken to the hospital.

There was no word Saturday morning on what caused the fire.
