Renovations At Delacorte Theater In Central Park Will Improve Accessibility For Audience, Artists With Disabilities
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The iconic Delacorte Theater in Central Park is getting a makeover.
A rendering of the planned new entrance was revealed Wednesday.
The new Delacorte will include improved accessibility for audience members and artists with disabilities. There will also be added lighting and improvements backstage for cast and crew.
The Delacorte Theater was built in 1962 and is the home of the Public Theater's free Shakespeare in the Park productions during the summer.
