Wiggle With Jason Derulo

Date: Tuesday, October 21

Three time Teen Choice Awards winner, Jason Derulo, is coming to the Starland Ballroom this Tuesday on his "Talk Dirty" tour. Derulo dropped his first album in 2010 at the tender age of 21 and has been a main stay in pop-music ever since. The Florida native has had 13 songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with four singles cracking the top-ten. Derulo's first single, "Whatcha Say," climbed all the way to the number one spot and his latest hit, "Wiggle," peaked at the number five spot. The concert starts at 6:00 p.m. and tickets start at $21.

Have A Sunny Day On Sesame Street

Date: Wednesday, October 22

The Nassau Veteran's Memorial Coliseum on Long Island will be hosting Sesame Street Live on October 22nd. The show, "Let's Dance," invites everyone in attendance to get up out of their seat and dance with all their favorite Sesame Street characters. From Elmo cranking out the robot to Cookie Monster teaching "all feets" to dance, this is an interactive experience that is sure to leave a smile on your child's face for days! The party starts at 11:00 a.m. and general admission tickets go for $79 online.

Go Apple Picking

Date: Friday, October 24

Fall is here and that means it's apple picking season. Escape the Big Apple this Friday and head up to Masker Orchards in Warwick. Masker has been around for over 100 years and has been under its current ownership for almost half that time. Masker Orchards has over 200 acres of land to explore and plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained. Wagon rides, haunted houses and barnyard baby animal attractions are all offered daily. Stop by this weekend when the Romes, Mutsu, Golden Delicious, Smoothie and Surprise apples will all be ripening for some of the freshest apples in New York. The orchard is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. seven days a week.

Try The Pasta

Date: Saturday, October 25

World Pasta Day is here, as if you needed an excuse to shovel down a plate or two of spaghetti tonight. Treat yourself by heading over to Vinny's of Carroll Garden on Smith Street in Brooklyn tonight for a few dishes off their pasta menu. Vinny's pasta menu ranges in price from $11 to $14 a plate with an optional side order of meatballs or sausages for $4 extra. One dish that is certainly deserving of a taste is their tortellini alla panna, a meat filled tortellini served with a rich cream sauce. For the restaurant's full menu visit their website. Take A Walk With Mayhem

Date: Sunday, October 26

Leave the kids at home for this Halloween-themed excursion. Ghosts, Murders and Mayhem Walking Tours of New York City takes adventure seekers on a walking tour of NYC's creepiest neighborhoods. Patrons will be shown supposedly haunted sites as well as actual murder locations. The tour goes through Greenwich Village, Lower Manhattan and Hell's Kitchen. The tour's website advises against bringing anyone under the age of 13 and warns that every member of the tour walks at their own risk. Tours start at 7:00 p.m. and cost $25 a person.
