Next Steps In NYC Congestion Pricing Plan Receive Federal Approval
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The plan for congestion pricing in New York City has taken a step forward.
It would charge people in cars a fee to enter Manhattan's Central Business District.
Now, the Federal Transportation Department has approved a plan to kick off an environmental assessment and public outreach program.
It would include more than 20 public meetings across the Tri-State Area and take about 16 months to complete.
